I did get a chance to read God's Debris on willpower.

Your thoughts are true, will power is not it. I think habits are it.

Your comments above are exactly how I lost 30 lbs and regained 30 lbs and lost more pounds and etc. First, I put in place habits that I could do mindlessly (weigh myself, use statistics, social support, exercise, eat less.)

However, once I lost the way, I reverted to old habits. mainly, I lost my way with portion sizes, exercising, and I didn't enter my weight in a computer. I just had it on paper.

So, now, I'm back on track using simple weight as my tool of choice for tracking my diet, exercise, and biometrics.

Now, the comes the long slow process of fat loss.

I definitely think making weight/fat loss mindless, habitual, and social is the key!

Funny comment, I like about the God's Debris post you recommended was: have you ever seen an obese starving person?

your story is definitely motivating. Thanks again for your comments and fighting on.
