My personal feeling about Karma is that somewhere along the line it will bite you back. I always have the moto that you should treat people how you want to be treated yourself. I think this is a great basis on how to live life.

Why does Karma interfere with enlightenment? Karma colors your actions and influences your choices. The type of person that you are, or consider yourself to be, will cause you to prefer one course of action or train of thought over another. Essentially, Karma is the trauma that prevents people from seeing the inner, simplistic truth of things.

It will always seem rather esoteric when explained in words. There's no getting around that. It ties, perhaps, to a more accessible truth. You already know whats wrong with your life, but you're always a little too uncomfortable or insecure to change it. Maybe you just can't bring yourself to get off the couch and exercise, because you have built up habits, and karma, contrary to such a good choice.

Or maybe you can't stop dieting for the same reason.
